Remote — Australia

Senior engineering, based in Bangkok, available remotely for Australia.

Based in Bangkok, Thailand, available remotely for Australian e-commerce brands and agencies.

Bangkok (UTC+7) sits 1 to 4 hours behind Australian time zones, depending on the state and daylight saving. That leaves 4 to 7 hours of live overlap with an eastern-states working day, and most of a day with Perth.

What I bring to Australia engagements

  • Shopify Plus headless storefronts (Remix, Node.js, Rust)
  • Klaviyo / CRM marketing-automation integrations
  • E-commerce pipeline optimization

Evidence

A worked example

Marion's Kitchen Shopify Headless
The problem
A food brand selling into several countries outgrows a stock Shopify theme. Checkout gets slower as catalogue and traffic grow, and each new market means another copy of a theme to maintain.
What I built
I lead the headless build: React and Remix on the front end with TypeScript and Tailwind, and Rust-based Shopify apps handling microservices and internal webhooks. Alongside it, the Beyond theme system runs one shared codebase across the AU, CA, EU and US storefronts instead of one theme per market. Klaviyo integration APIs carry the marketing automation.
Outcome
Sales rose roughly 40% after the e-commerce pipeline work. Adopting Playwright and Jest for end-to-end coverage removed about 80% of the manual regression cycles the team had been running before each release.

Questions Australia teams ask

Have you worked with Australian clients before?

Not yet. Every role on my CV has been with a Bangkok-based employer, so I have no Australian client list to point at. What I can show is the work itself: production systems with public URLs and open repositories, listed on this page and on the home page. I would rather you judge those than take a claim about local presence on trust.

Do our working hours actually overlap?

Yes, and this is the strongest overlap of any market I work with. Bangkok is 1 hour behind Perth and 3 to 4 hours behind Sydney and Melbourne depending on daylight saving. A Sydney team gets me for 4 to 5 hours of their working day, and Perth gets nearly the whole one.

Have you shipped anything into the Australian market?

Yes. The Beyond theme system I work on at Marion's Kitchen Group powers storefronts across AU, CA, EU and US markets from one shared codebase, so the AU storefront is a market I actively ship to, even though the client itself is not an Australian company of mine.
